The Soka Gakkai International found way here in the Philippines and took root in the early 1959. It provides a base for faith, practice and study of Nichiren Daishonin's teaching throughout the Philippines. It exists to guide each member's faith in the Gohonzon, thereby enabling each person to attain absolute happiness or Buddhahood.


                                Message of Condolence on Japan Earthquake

          "At 2:46pm (Japan time) on Friday March 11 an earthquake of 9.0 in magnitude hit the northeastern coast of Japan, followed by series aftershocks and devastating waves of Tsunamis.

          We, the members of SGI Philippines would like to express our sincere sympathy and condolence to all the victims of this natural catastrophe.  We are also sending heartfelt prayers for everyone's safety in the affected area."
