Held Unit and Group Leadership Training
In this “Year of Capable People and Dynamic Development”,
the Southern Mindanao Headquarter held its first unit and group leaders
training seminar at the SGI-Philippines Davao Culture Center from February
26 – 27, 2011.
There were 100 unit and group leaders combined attended it. The training
objectives are empowering unit and group leaders in the organization, awakening
leader’s commitment to his or her mission, and fostering capable successors.
The training became an oasis where the leaders were able to further their knowledge in Buddhism and leadership roles in the organization. In particular, they refreshed themselves their specific purpose and importance of accomplishing them for the sake of the member’s happiness; renewed their commitment in conducting friendly and warm discussion meetings at the grassroots level to inspire hope, courage, and positive outlook in life base on Buddhism; and determined to have strong faith to fight against the evil Nikken sect.
While commemorating the birthday of Mrs. Kaneko Ikeda at the last day of the activity, participants expressed their determination and conviction to live as true disciples of Sensei Ikeda to work for peace and development in this war-torn place of Mindanao and achieving lasting happiness of oneself and others.
