Prayers meeting held every first Sunday of the month in all SGI Philippines Culture Centers. After the prayer, it is followed by the conferment ceremony of Gohonzon to newly joined members, activity report and guidance from the headquarter leaders. In the afternoon, the general study meeting takes place where the Buddhist term for the month is lectured.
Zadankai (Discussion Meeting)
A small group discussion meeting held every other month at respective areas. Non-members are invited. They learn about our activities and teachings. Members also share their experiences they had through their practice of faith. Since the group is small, everyone can discuss or ask question so freely. Two-way discussion is maintained. This is the most fundamental activity of SGI.
District Study Meeting
The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin is studied. Prior to this study meeting, selected lecturers attend the lecturers study meeting specially designed for this purpose. This study meeting is held every other month by district level. SGI gives importance in faith, practice and study. Through this study meeting, members can deepen their faith.
Lecture on the Record of Orally Transmitted Teachings
Aimed at college students and graduates. The Record of Orally Transmitted Teachings is said to be the most secret teaching of the Daishonin’s Buddhism. SGI Vice President Takimoto and General Director Niitsu, who once received the lecture from President Ikeda in person, pass down the heritage of faith to the youth members
